The purpose of Lutheran Church of Peace Preschool is to further each child’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical development by providing a program that will encourage and challenge the child to his or her fullest potential. The program incorporates a Christian-based curriculum that fosters children’s faith.
Our Staff and Environment
We provide well qualified staff to supervise, encourage and guide children. All of our teachers are lead teacher qualified by the State of Minnesota and are trained in early childhood education, first aid, and CPR. We keep our class sizes small so that we can provide a safe, secure, nurturing environment. The environment has the ability to change as the developmental needs of the children change.
Lutheran Church of Peace Preschool is a non-profit half-day Early Childhood program. We are a Christian program that accepts families of all faiths. We have been serving the community with quality preschool education for nearly 40 years. We are licensed by the State of Minnesota.
- Early learning is important.
- Children learn by doing.
- Children are unique.
- Children need time to themselves as well as experiences in small and large groups.
- Children learn through play and hands-on exploration.
- Developmental learning is a gradual process.
Learning centers are set up daily to enhance the development of the whole child through a carefully planned curriculum. The curriculum goals are based on the Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress. Children are given opportunities to explore their environment and to experience a variety of materials and situations.
