Carver Elementary School
Carver Elementary holds a special place in our hearts. We have a number of members who volunteer their time at Carver on a regular basis. We appreciate our partnership with Carver’s social workers who make connections to our community possible. We feel blessed to have Carver Elementary as our neighbor!
Carver Peace Awards
Every spring, Lutheran Church of Peace awards one Carver student per classroom with a Peace Award. These awards are voted on by their classmates and represent students that exemplify kind, caring behavior traits.
It's an honor to celebrate the end of the year with our neighborhood partner in this meaningful moment!
Backpack Food Program
Before Covid, LCP filled backpacks twice a week with foods kids can easily prepare for themselves over the weekend. Carver's social worker then distributed these backpacks as needed.
As Carver has expanded we are in the process of walking alongside of this important program as it changes to support a growing population of students. Stay tuned for how you can be part of this life giving opporutnity!
Angel Tree Gifts
As we shop for loved ones in preparation for Christmas, LCP adds Carver families to their shopping list. We choose stars that tell us the gender, age and desired gift. We shop, wrap and then distribute gifts to parents/guardians.
Get here early when this program is set out. Those stars go fast!
School Supply Drive
In the fall we have fun shopping for school supplies for Carver and our neighbors in Landfall.
It's a great joy to see the smiles on kids faces as they receive crayons, pens, pencils, paper and all the supplies they need to ensure a great start to their school year.
